Lichtkammer is composed as an extention of halves,

initialized by photographers Nanne Springer and Frédéric Arthur Chabot,
is at first, a witness of their darkroom process journey,
where every single image you can find here,
is carefully and thoughtfully handmade,

but it is through the encounters with others, exploring different universes and shared landscapes
that this project becomes a whole, a complete circle.
it tells the stories of you and I, of the possibles.
of this object, you hold in your hands

Prints | Every work here is an important piece within the whole. Therefore none of the hand-printed documents are duplicates. The one you will hold in your hand, is the only one we or anyone have. Your wall will become the work’s place of being. For us it means to know the respect for the work, the memory of the day and the importance of the moment is preserved.

Collaborations | Half of our work is based on an equal collaboration between us and you. There are worlds to be reached and moments to be seen. With this we appeal to you, to write us. To spend time with us, to collect, to build. If you are wondering, we are already waiting to hear from you. Just you, or you the worker, you the dancer, or you the musician, you the painter, you the mother, or you the child, you alone or you with another. We are waiting.

Shop | How does it all work? We are constantly adding new work and collaborations to our shop. All of our prints can be ordered by leaving a donation for us. This allows us to continue our work, cover material costs, keep up our darkroom space etc. You decide what your pocket can handle and we appreciate your support! We decided to go this way so that artists too can afford other artist’s work and the choice lies within everyone themselves.

If you have a special request about a certain print (you need to receive it framed, or in a different size, with a special note, or send it as a gift etc.), please write to us. We love hearing from you and preparing something different for you. If you have questions about the process, the motive or how you could work or collaborate with us on another project, contact us as well!

Once we know where to send your print, we carefully prepare a package for you and then we’ll send it out into the world!
